Open Positions:

Title:  Regional Family Empowerment Manger/Clinical Coach

Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling Required

Status:  Full time; M-F days, occasional evening or weekend for special events.

This impactful position offers a unique blend of regional oversight, clinical coaching, and innovative program development. You will lead and mentor Family Empowerment Program (FEP) teams across Lincoln County, Wentzville, and St. Charles, while also contributing to the evolution of our FEP training systems and spearheading our collaborative Student Program with local universities.

Respite Team

All staff must be at least 21 and must have at least a HS education /GED. Supervisors prefer applicants that have at least a year of paid experience caring for children agest birth to 12. We will pay a higer starting rate for years of relevant paid child care experience and for higher education such as an associates or bachelor’s degree. Crisis Care experience is preferred but not required. See specific jobs for more details.

While the following describe the roles we have in the Nursery, we are unable to post specific openings and schedules. Interested persons may submit an application and be considered for the positions for which they are qualified at the time of the application.

  • HS education or GED required.

    Status: Part Time, Full Time as available. This is a wakeful overnight shift: 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.

    The Overnight Child Specialist is an essential worker, primarily responsible for the safety and well-being of children staying overnight in the nursery. With safety as a #1 priority, the OCS will remain awake at all times on shift and will check on sleeping children every 15 minutes, as well as keep constant eyes on children who are awake. To promote the healthiest environment for our children, the OCS will keep the nursery clean and sanitized.

    A HS education or GED is required, but an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related or unrelated field is cause for wage enhancement.

  • Status: Part-Time and Full-Time Opportunities Available
    Starting Pay: $17/hour
    Weekend Pay Differential: +$1/hour for all weekend hours

    Higher Starting Pay Available For:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field (especially related fields)

    • Relevant childcare certifications (e.g., CNA, CMT)

    • Additional experience in child care

    Position Summary:
    The Child Specialist (CS) plays a vital role in providing compassionate physical, social, and emotional care to children admitted to the Crisis Nursery. CS team members lead structured playgroups, support a consistent daily routine, and maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. The CS also assists families by providing crisis support and connecting them with resources.

    Shift Options:

    • 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

    • 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

    • 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: High School diploma or GED

    • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., child development, psychology, education)

    Position Summary:
    The Child and Family Specialist (CFS) plays a critical role in supporting both children and families during times of crisis. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. CFS staff are responsible for the appropriate care of children admitted to the Crisis Nursery, as well as for assessing family needs, setting goals, and delivering crisis intervention services.

    The CFS also provides shift leadership, oversees the Nursery helpline, and ensures continuity of care in collaboration with other staff. Full-time team members participate in an on-call rotation to provide extended support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct child and family risk assessments

    • Set individualized goals for families in crisis

    • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention

    • Supervise and support staff on shift

    • Manage incoming calls on the Nursery helpline

    • Help maintain a structured and nurturing environment

    Qualifications:

    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field

    • Preferred: Master’s degree and/or previous experience in crisis care or child welfare

    Position Summary:
    The Family Care Case Manager (FCCM) serves as a key point of contact for families in crisis and plays a vital role in coordinating care for children admitted to the Crisis Nursery. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.

    FCCMs are responsible for managing daily crisis care calls, conducting thorough risk assessments, developing goals with families, and overseeing both intake and discharge processes. They work collaboratively with the childcare team to support the emotional and physical needs of each child.

    Full-time FCCMs participate in an on-call rotation to ensure families have access to services outside regular business hours. This role is a critical step in our internal career ladder, and we prioritize promoting from within whenever possible.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the first point of contact for families seeking crisis care

    • Manage child admissions and discharges, including documentation and planning

    • Conduct risk assessments and develop short-term family care goals

    • Deliver direct crisis intervention and support services

    • Collaborate with Child Specialists and other team members during shifts

    • Participate in on-call rotation (for full-time staff)

    Qualifications:

    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

    • Preferred: Master’s degree and/or experience in child and family services, crisis response, or case management

Family Empowerment Professionals Team

Our preference is for Masters level professionals with license and home visiting experience. 

We may consider candidates with less than a Master’s degree if they have an exceptional work history, with crisis care experience, working with families

  • Masters in Social Work with license preferred

    Status: Full Time as available. M- F days, occasional evening or weekend for special events.

    FThe Family Empowerment Social Worker (FESW) is primarily responsible for supporting families and parents while maintaining and managing a caseload through home visits, phone support, basic needs/item drop offs, off-site visits, and parent education. The FESW will provide differentiated in-home support, based on client needs, while acting as a positive role model. 70 client contact hours per month is required between crisis intervention and family stabilization clients. The FESW Will bring their therapeutic skills to this role to support the clients they serve. The FESW is also responsible for maintaining clear and accurate records, executing goals as stated for funded programs. The FESW  works closely with Nursery staff in the support of a family’s needs.

  • Master’s degree in Counseling is required

    Status: Full Time as available. M- F days, occasional evening or weekend for special events.

    FThe Family Empowerment Counselor (FEC) is primarily responsible for supporting families and parents while maintaining and managing a caseload through home visits, phone support, basic needs/item drop offs, off-site visits, and parent education. Child Therapy Team

  • Masters Degree in Counseling or Social Work, with professional licensure LCSW or LPC, (ATR) with board certification preferred (ATR-BC)
